"The Strip"
This is Ottawa, in the middle of town there is a series of blocks with a stoplight at the end of each and people come from all sorts of places on Friday and Saturday nights to meet friends, and of course,
street race. Here are some of the photos I have from the couple of times I've been there.
(I apologize ahead of time for the poor quality of the pictures it was dark and my camera had no flash.)
this has to one of the nicest flame jobs I've seen in a long time this was a pretty quick car, sometimes the cars out there are a little too fast and probably a little too non-street legal too! :-)
Here are a pair of nice fourth Gen. Camaros racing down one side of the main drag.
Yep these kind of guys are down there too.
I wish they didn't exist, but thanks to movies like "the fast and the furious" and it's spin offs.
Real street machines are forced to share the road with these...uh...things.
As far as most imports go I don't like them. the idea of a Japanese sports car
(and I say that loosely because to me FWD will NEVER be a sports car) has been forever ruined
by FAR too many 3 foot wing, 5" exhaust tip wearing, Civics and Integras built by morons that think stickers and body kits make you "fast and furious". But...and this is hard to admit...this is a very nice looking Mitsubishi Eclipse. It's not gaudy or overdone like most. It actually looks (gasp!!!) decent. Who ever it's owner is I salute you for not totally "ricing it out" (and I hope you stopped here)
